Medals

You may have noticed that there are no medals on my site.  That’s intentional because people like this exist.  However, I have received a request for a purple heart, and it strikes me that since I make models with the expectation that they’ll mostly be used for commemorative plaques I really ought to offer the medals too.

The problem is that I would be VERY VERY ANGRY to discover that a model I made had been used to help an imposter sell his story.  I already think that it should be completely legal for any veteran to beat the hell out of any imposter.

I have posted a poll on military.com about this and would welcome opinions.  Please don’t post a link to this site or even name it on military.com, this is not an advertising stunt.  You can also of course weigh in here via comment.  Thanks.

More on CarveWright

It turns out that the CW Designer doesn’t import STL files as it comes, it takes a $200 add on.  So after some discussion with users on the CW forum I have come to an arrangement with a CW user to convert my files to the proprietary CW format.  So far only the free sample has ptn files added to it, but I have a few more to be uploaded and I expect we’ll probably have them all done by the end of February.  In the mean time, if you have bought a model and would like to have the ptn file for it email me at info@cncmilitaryemblems.com.  If you want to buy one but need the ptn, just let me know and I’ll get that one done earlier.

I will add comments to this post as I update the files.  Once all the existing models are updated I will update the file type list on my homepage.
