Queue update

The current queue: 6th Recon Squadron (done, will be up today), 16th Training Squadron (90% done, will also be up today) and new to the list, 455th Flying Training Squadron (not started yet) followed by the 6 Army diver badges.

Note for Cut3D users

I’ve recently found through correspondence with Vectric support that the way I’ve been making my dished models just doesn’t work well with Cut3D.  The solution is very easy, it’s actually just to stop cutting the models out of the zero plane, but I’ve already made a lot of models that way and it will take a considerable amount of time to get all the older models updated.  It takes very little time to create a corrected dished version of a model but quite a bit of time to get that corrected version online for general download.  As I create models in the future they’ll be Cut3D compatible, but for the older models until I get them all updated I’ll need Cut3D users to send me an email noting that they need the Cut3D version and I”ll make it and send it out ASAP.  My email address is info@cncmilitaryemblems.com or click here.

2 New Models

I knocked out a couple of quick ones today, the collar pins for Master Chief Petty Officer and Senior Chief Petty Officer.  The queue remains 6th RS, 16th Training Squadron and the Army diver badges.

Queue update

When I get a request from someone for a model, I create a folder inside my Requested folder with the model name, the name of the person who requested it, and the queue number.  Queue number is determined by due date and what else is in the queue.  Only requested models get a queue number so the stuff I’m doing to fill out pages, like the Pathfinder badge I posted a few days ago just hang around in my Requested folder until there’s nothing with a number in front of them.  This is an easy and effective way to keep track of what I need to make.

Well, maybe I shouldn’t say effective.  I just got an email asking for an update for when the 6th RS model would be ready.  Unfortunately my initial reaction was “what the hell is the 6th RS?”  Digging through my email revealed that the 6th RS is the USAF 6th Reconnaissance Squadron, it was requested on October 23 and I replied with a queue number.  But there’s no folder for it.  There’s no folder in my requested, and there’s no folder in my Air Force folder.  Don’t know how I managed to reply with a queue number without creating a folder but I must have.

So that brings us to this post, the first queue update.  Up until now, I’ve only updated the blog when I uploaded a new model.  Now, I’ll continue to do that but I’ll also update the blog whenever I get a request.  Since I review the previous post when I do a new post this should help me to avoid this problem.

So, the queue as it stands right now: HMM261 first, followed by 6th RS, 16th Training Squadron and the Army diver badges.

Three new models

I’ve just uploaded the models for Army Aircorps (WWII) Aerial Gunner wings, Freefall Parachutist badge, and Pathfinder badge.  Up next, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 261 (HMM-261) crest followed by the 6 Army diver badges.

No telling how long it will take to get the diver badges all done, I doubt I’ll upload them one at a time since none were requested.  Also anything that is requested will take priority.  These 6 diver badges are the last qualification badge models to be made for the current Army badges, so I may offer a set.

Canada added

I’ve just added a page for Canadian military emblems with two emblems to start, the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery and the Tri-Service badge.  The link to the Canadian Forces page is at the bottom of the products page right after the UK Forces link.  The queue is now empty so on to the un-requested.  Up next, Freefall Parachutist badge, Pathfinder badge, and the 6 Army diver badges

New model

I’ve just uploaded the models for MTACS-28.  Up next, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery crest followed by the Canadian forces 3 way hat pin, then the usual suspects (Freefall Parachutist badge, Pathfinder badge, and the 6 Army diver badges).

Air Force Logo

I’ve just uploaded the model for one of the Air Force Logos.  Up next, MTACS 28 followed by Freefall Parachutist badge, Pathfinder badge, and the 6 Army diver badges.

A quick note on MTACS 28: I’m actually about half done with it but it has no deadline.  This one also didn’t have a deadline but nothing on it has long hair blowing in the wind either so I went ahead and knocked it out.  I expect to have MTACS 28 done this weekend.
