The contact form spammers finally wore me down. I don’t like captcha and have resisted it all along, but the last few months the spam to actual customer contacts from my contact form has been running about 100 to 1. I don’t understand their goal, most if it is just a sentence fragment with no link or attempt at phishing or anything like that, but whatever. I’ve set up a new contact form with a simple check box captcha on it, hopefully that will be enough to reduce the amount of spam I’ve been getting. If not I’ll go to the more advanced forms of captcha.
